About us - Who we are - and what we want

MECHANISCHE Weberei BOHEMIA s.r.o. today is the Czech manufacturer, which deals exclusively with technically demanding projection screens and cinema screens.

A company with a rich tradition originally located in Bad Lippspringe was founded in December 1923. At that time it was Europe's largest special factory for the screens. Here was coated the first woven cloth glass crystal beads. "Kristall - Perltuch" 23 mil. pearl / m² (Source: Statten DEUTSCHER ARBEIT 13 - HANS TISCHERT 1957 Page 276 ff)

This was followed by a rich history, which culminated in years 1991/1992 moving the whole company to the Cerveny Kostelec.

Today we produce under the brand MW (internationally protected trademark / word at the European patenting authority) for an international audience with 30 involved employees screens that meet the highest optical demands.

Our product range covers virtually the entire area from the cinema screens, rolling projection screens to the width of 16 meters, also in 3D quality, frame surfaces for use in the convention halls, universities and training centers. Our customers include international cinema chains, their service providers, also distributors of AV, who offer use in commercial and private area, but also international corporations and companies for trade fairs, to appoint at least any user.

What was and is our goal? We are here in the middle of Europe to produce superior products and offer them to our business partners at attractive prices. This philosophy has lead us again to a group of the world's leading manufacturers of screens. Our products are regularly represented at international fairs.

We place extraordinary emphasis on the fact that every product we produce ourselves here in Bohemia. Our products are built with only the best and most reliable components of the leading European suppliers. This leads to first-class products with a unique relation between price and performance.
